We invite prospective families and students to visit our Lower and Middle School campuses to get a firsthand look at what makes Blue Oak School so special – from our strong community of teachers and students to the broad and innovative curriculum designed to help students learn by doing.
There are many ways to experience BOS, including Individual Visits, Information Sessions and Open House / Preview Programs. It is our goal to provide you with as much information as you need to find the right school environment for your child. We hope that all families interested in attending Blue Oak will schedule a time to visit and truly experience the excitement and energy that is so evident at Blue Oak. While participation in an Information Session or a Preview Program is not a mandatory component of the application process, we strongly encourage prospective families to get to know our community by visiting classes, talking with current parents and learning more about progressive education.
Individual Visits
As a school committed to the growth and development of each individual, it is not surprising that we begin our admission process with a personal visit. During the initial visit, you'll have an opportunity to learn more about progressive education, gain an overview of Blue Oak's programs, and tour the campus of your choice (Lower School or Middle School or a combined visit to both campuses). You'll learn how the admission process at Blue Oak works and have a chance to learn more about how Blue Oak partners with parents to make a Blue Oak education affordable. To schedule your personal visit, please call Barb Lundberg at 707.261.4522.
Information Sessions
If you are just beginning to explore schools, you may feel more comfortable attending a group information session. Our Information Sessions occur on both campuses and allow you to observe classes, interact with our community members, and to get many of your questions about the admission process answered. Please check our admission calendar to find the dates for our upcoming Information Sessions and to determine the session which best fits your family's schedule. Information Sessions typically last about an hour and are adult-only events. As tour size is limited, please call 707.261.4500 to make a reservation.
This year we are offering three special sessions focused on our developmental kindergarten program. These information sessions will provide parents with an opportunity to spend time in our kindergarten, talk with our kindergarten teacher and to talk with parents whose children completed the Blue Oak School kindergarten program.

Preview Programs
Blue Oak School offers several Preview Programs through the year. Preview Programs provide a wonderful opportunity to gain a broad overview of the ways in which a Blue Oak education is different from the education provided by other schools in the Napa Valley. Preview Programs are open to all - students are invited to attend with parents. A short presentation will be followed by a campus tour and a time for questions and answers. Designed to give families and others who are interested in a quick overview of the opportunities available at Blue Oak, these programs are approximately an hour in length. To sign up for a Preview Program, please call 707-261-4500.
