All Blue Oak School parents are members of the Parent Association (PA) and are invited to attend the monthly PA meetings.
The Parent Association is instrumental in enriching student experience and building community through the coordination of volunteer efforts in support of activities essential to the School and its mission. We expect that each parent will find a way to share his/her talents and interests with classrooms and the larger community.
The purpose of the Parent Association is:
- To build and sustain a sense of community
- To support and enrich academic life in collaboration with faculty
- To complement the faculty in fostering social and emotional growth of students
- To facilitate communication between parents, faculty, the administration and the Board of Trustees
Each year the Parent Association sponsors several events and activities in support of the School. From the ice cream social that kicks off the new school year to the Farmer’s Markets throughout the year to the end-of-the-year BBQ, the PA looks to volunteers from the parent body to help make these activities fun and successful. For a list of PA events and information about volunteering, visit Volunteering at Blue Oak School.
Participation in the Parent Association is a wonderful way to get to know other parents and families in the Blue Oak School community. If you would like to learn more about the PA and how you can get involved, please contact PA President, Nicole Fair.
